Very nice, cozy restaurant above Walporzheim an der Ahr. A nostalgic, very tasty snack food, excellent in taste, ample and lovingly presented. I always prefer the roast beef with a garnish there. We also recommend the homemade cakes. Also like '' earlier ''

Nice ambience, not only in the beer garden, v also in the bright winter garden. Despite the high number of visitors at noon on Monday, the girls were friendly and brisk. The in-house Blanc der Noir was good and the snack was really great for the price. A pleasant surprise against the tourist rip-off elsewhere‼ ️

When the weather is great, it is very busy and the staff can be overwhelmed. Very sympathetic waiter, his young colleague (yesterday black tshirt with the matching inscription crazy) unfortunately wore her MNS deliberately under her nose (pulled it down himself) and responded to the request that she should wear it correctly, very cheeky and cheeky with them In other words, she works in the medical service and is tested every week. That may be so, but the hygiene requirements apply to everyone, including this service. A person who works in the medical field should actually have understood the purpose of the MNS. Apart from that, the person is unsuitable for serving in the excursion restaurant. Such appearances spoil the actually good mood!

Excellent location, good opportunity for a stroll through the vineyards. Nice garden under shady trees. Food good and inexpensive. Service friendly. But organization catastrophic. Waiting time for service, drinks and food, payment actually unreasonable. If you have a lot of time and patience, highly recommended.

We were ignored for about 30 minutes before we could finally order drinks. It was the same for us when paying.

We wanted to take a seat on the terrace after a place in the sun became free and politely asked if that would be possible. Thought that, since we hadn't ordered anything yet, that would certainly not be a problem, but the staff said that it would not work because of the hygiene rules. So far so good. But when we were not served for ages (other guests who came after us were served before us) and new guests also sat down at the said "sun table", although this table had not been disinfected beforehand (we also observed further so that guests sit at another table that has become vacant and that had not been disinfected beforehand) we then left. It was certainly a lot to do, but we didn't think it was good that the hygiene rules were apparently applied individually and thought it was a real shame that the service was so inflexible towards us.

Staff friendly and courteous. Small but fine menu. Nicely located in the vineyards. A worthwhile discovery.

Wonderful restaurant located directly on the red wine hiking trail on the Ahr. When the weather is good, you can enjoy the typical regional dishes on the great terrace (plane trees provide plenty of shade) and enjoy the products directly from the vineyards around the corner! The quality and quantity of the food are in proportion to the price. The service is good, if there is a lot of traffic (always in good weather) it can take a little longer. The Altenweg can also be reached by car (parking lot nearby). Always worth a detour. Recommendation!

The restaurant has a nice view and terrasse. The waitresses are aware and the potatoes are good. The rest is not worth a visit. Do not order the schnitzel..

Very nice, but if you want to sit in the lower conservatory you should reserve in advance. Service also deserves 5 stars, very polite and helpful. Food was delicious. We spent our 51st wedding anniversary here.

Old village house in the middle of vineyards, with beautiful terrace and stunning view. Popular with hikers, wine lovers :) Extremely pleasant young staff, family business where everyone has his place :) I like it

For vegetarians the selection is very slim and for vegans it is non existent. I had the baked potato and salad, it was very average with ice berg lettuce. If you like traditional German meat dishes this may be the place for you. Nice views and kind service though.
